On Saturday, April 8, 2023, the Minuteman Chapter of Student Corps fundraised for A Life A Time, an organization dedicated to aiding the families of children suffering from severe injuries, covering travel, housing, and other expenses so that the children can receive medical care from Shriners Children’s Hospital in Boston. Prior to the event, which was held in Lexington’s Cary Memorial Hall, some of our core members had also prepared flyers, donation log sheets, and thoughtfully-made donation boxes, facilitating the process. During the two-hour event, eleven students, ranging from fifth graders to high schoolers, worked hard to raise a total of $1,237 toward the cause—an average of more than $100 per volunteer. Thank you to all who participated, and we hope to continue organizing similar events in the future!
