About Student Corps

Student Corps is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded, developed, and led by and for students.

The mission of the Student Corps is to instill the community values of civic responsibility, altruism, and collaboration within the student generation; provide opportunities, ideas, and resources for community projects across the nation; and foster a network of motivated youth to build a hopeful future.

Student Corps is led by a national board of students, who understand the struggles and challenges of immersing oneself into the community. How can I become a valued member of the community? How can I be helpful to the people around me? To whom do I reach out? These are all questions that are particularly difficult to answer if you are a student with many time commitments and unsure of what ‘community service’ really means.

These are all questions that are particularly difficult to answer if you are a student with many time commitments and unsure of what ‘community service’ really means.

We created the Student Corps brand to help students learn how to be active members of their community, and uphold the values of civic responsibility, altruism, and collaboration. Community service is a way for students to open their eyes to the needs of their community, and realize the multifarious perspectives within the society they reside.

Student Corps will forever be led by and for students, with the attitude and needs of students in mind. We understand, we will enact, and we will collectively raise the voice of the student within each community.

As a national organization, we hope to enact this change across an entire generation of eager, hopeful, and motivated students. To us, the future is bright. We, the students of our generation, will become the leaders, intellectuals, and creators of the next century. It’s up to us to make sure that we rise to that challenge and prepare ourselves for the community role we must play.
